Justin left for his STN trip this morning. What a wonderful opportunity for him to go to this conference. There was much debate about how it would be paid for. In the past district has paid for much of it. But I don't have to tell you with the current state of the economy and the district cut backs we were unsure. We were hoping for district to pay half and parents pay half. It is about $2200.00 per student. We were shocked when the Media Club presented their case before the board they approved the trip. Parents were only responsible for food and tips. WHAT! Are you kidding me!
What a blessing! Justin has not been on a plane since he was 2 and that was also a trip to Florida (to visit family.) I was nervous for him. Cant wait to hear what he thought of flying... They will be working several 16 hours days. Everything will be done on Apple products. They took computers and laptops from school with them. Man was he pumped. They will spend one day at Walt Disney World. We are so excited for him. Bring it home Justin and Knock em' dead with your skills!
